Our shooting club began at its current location in 1979 with about a half dozen friends who shared a common interest in target shooting. Our location is convenient, our membership dues are reasonable, and our range is clean, well maintained, and safe. Above all, TASC has a terrific group of friendly, dedicated Members. TASC is one of the only shooting clubs in North Carolina that allows Members to shoot their NFA registered select-fire and fully-automatic firearms.
Our staff of Certified TASC Range Officers (“ROs”) provides information and guidance upon request, while monitoring our range safety rules.
TASC offers five separate shooting ranges, all with covered shooting benches, with shooting distances from 25 yards to 100 yards.
Ranges are available for rimfire, centerfire, handguns and rifles. Shotguns are allowed, but you must pick up your spent shotgun shells.
Ranges are separated by high berms and backstops for safety.
There are many active steel targets and paper target stands. Members may also bring their own targets subject to club rules.
There is ample parking with a gated entry.
For the safety and peace of mind of all our Members, TASC requires a copy of one of the five following items with their membership application showing the applicant has passed a background check. These are the only items acceptable.
Their NC Concealed Handgun Carry Permit (Preferred)
Their handgun purchase permit issued within the last 12 months from any state.
The receipt for purchase of a firearm from a licensed firearms retail store within the last 12 months showing ALL of the following:
Store name and location
Date of purchase
Your name as purchaser
Make and model of firearm
Serial number of firearm
A current Type 01 or 07 FFL in your name
